I used a mix of Butternut squash and normal pumpkin. It was definitely better the day after, when the flavours had a chance to meld. And it was sensational with a bit of leek oil (which takes 24 hrs for the leeks to permeate the oil). So for best results, prepare the night before you would like to eat it, and do the leek oil! I didn’t bother with the maple pecans although that would have made it extra special.
